5 Liquors That Burn A Hole In Your Pocket.

Alcohol has been a friend to many, and has been the reason behind rehab to many more. From the first sip in high school to the bottle in college to the nightcap when you’re fifty, liquor has managed to charm them all without discriminating between financial status, gender or as I stated earlier age.  Well here’s a list of some booze that’re more expensive than my car.

1. Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac

At a whopping price of 1.9 million dollars or 12,08,589,855 rupees, the world’s most expensive cognac manages to top the list. What makes it so expensive is the fact that it was made 1766 and packaged in barrels for more than a 100 years. The cognac is packed in a bejeweled bottle, dipped in 24 K gold and sterling platinum and then decorated with 6500 brilliant cut diamonds by jeweler  Jose Davalos.

2. Tequila Ley

This exquisite tequila costs you around  $1.5 Million or ₹9,53,85,675 and comes in a hand-crafted, one liter, two-piece bottle of which one half is pure platinum while the other is pure white gold and the two halves are held together by a solid platinum emblem. So the next time your wife tells you how gold is a good investment you know what to do.

3. 64 year old Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Next comes Macallan at $460,000 or ₹2,92,44,500 which is how much the next iphone is going to cost. It was taken from three sherry-seasoned Spanish oak casks, and filled in 1942, 1945, and 1946. The Macallan 64-year-old single malt whisky comes in a one-of-a-kind “Lalique: Cire Perdue” crystal decanter.

4. 62 year old Dalmore Scotch Whisky

Dalmore too has got a few up it’s sleeve with this particular whiskey costing

$200,000 or ₹1,27,15,000. The spirit dates as far back as 1868 also the year when man discovered fire. The “liquid gold” sits in a specially made wooden presentation case, which Dalmore says took over 100 man hours to create.

5. Dalmore 64 Trinitas Single Malt Whisky

At the bottom of the list and still costing a month’s salary is the Dalmore 64 Tinitas which is around $160,000 or ₹1,01,72,000. Till date only three of bottles of this elixir has been released. Why am I not surprised I’d rather put a kid through college.
