Men don’t cry

That is utter rubbish. Every human being is sensitive, whatever the chromosomal combination. Tears are our natural response when we get kneed in the crotch or our girlfriend leaves us for another guy (tears of joy) or are deeply disappointed at work or lose a loved one. We don’t become a lesser man when we cry. Both men and women need to remember that. And we need to stop telling kids, boys don’t cry.

Health is wealth

Yes blokes are supposed to be tough and all that, but we do get under the weather, now and then. It’s okay for men to take off, unwind, recharge batteries and jump back into the grind. Visiting a doc when you are not well is okay, shrugging your man-shoulders and saying ‘I will be fine’, is not. As you get on in age, fitness, eating right and regular check-ups are essential. Both, women or men shouldn’t neglect these thinking men are tough and can handle everything.

Real men take care of their skin

Gone are the days when grooming for the man meant a clean shirt and an ironed pair of pants. Men don’t need to fuss hours in front of the mirror, but they need to stick to a regular regime covering skin and hair, body hygiene and dress appropriate to the occasion. Grooming not just makes a dude appear attractive but also contributes to his overall wellness and confidence. And there is no need to be shy or conscious about it.

Brain wiring

Blokes evolved from a hunter-gatherer mindset, but our brains are still programmed to looking at earning a living and providing for our families as our chief role. That doesn’t mean we can’t mind babies, iron clothes, don a chef’s hat or do the groceries. We may not do these as efficiently as our mates, but leave us with these chores (once in a while) and see how we excel. Trusting us and not-nagging are the keys to our housework success.

Love and Sex

Our ladies often think that sex is our top of mind recall and we are ready to tumble with the next hot chick we see on the road. But that is only half true. We also love and care deeply for our mates and families, though we may not express it very frequently. While fantasizing about Kim Kardashian is beyond our control, we do enjoy physical intimacy more in our stable and committed relationships.
