Managing everything at once can become really messy, especially when you’re trying to balance your work and your life. Both of them are important and require equal attention. When you have a family to look out for, it becomes even more important to provide time to them. Here are some tips which can help you to give best to the both worlds!
1. Leave work at office
Don’t bring your work home. Leave it there. Try to complete everything in time and try not to procrastinate, as it will only pile up.
2. Maintain a schedule
If you’re a really busy man, try making a schedule and go according to it. Try not to edit it in the middle of the day as it will spoil all your plans. Complete your meetings, presentations, etc. and be home for your family to spend quality time.
3. Make plans
It well get hectic, but you have to do it. Try making some plans for the weekend. Go out with your partner on a date or if you have children, fix a game with them. It will calm your mind and will keep both of you happy.
4. Carry two phones
Get a lot of calls from work? Try keeping two phones, one strictly for office and other strictly personal. Give out your official number to your colleagues, so that they don’t disturb you when you’re home.
5. Avoid work calls once you’re home
Avoid taking any official call once you’re home, unless it’s an emergency. Do not mix your office hours with your personal hours and it won’t get messy.
